Aaron and All, Thanks for the tip. I just got back from seeing Shakeel and he thinks it is the screen. He ordered one and says it will be $150 to replace it. I thought that my photos were not backup, but when I checked they are all on the Google Photos on the web. So, I decided to buy a new Pixel 8a which Google will sell me for $299.
