I just got back from 20 miles on the Ohlone Wilderness Trail between Sunol Regional Wilderness and Del Valle Regional Park.? Left on Friday and came back today.? Had a great time.? The KX1 was left in the car by accident so I didn't have any radio fun out there; had a blast seeing the views though.

I would think we would be on 20, 17, and 15 meters, using cw and ssb. Just give me a call on the cell phone when you are set up. Today I finished mounting the MP-1 on an old construction light stand. Getting the radials off the ground will now be easy and I drilled holes in the legs for ground stakes. After our last outing Hiro, I figured it was time to get this project done.

Hi Everyone,
Looks as though Spring is on its way. Don't forget that Daylight savings time begins at midnight tonight.
I spoke with Dave Crocker yesterday about getting together on Sunday. To make this early outing simple, we thought about getting together at 1:00 at Seal Point Park in San Mateo.
The weather should be perfect for dusting off the cobwebs from our equipment and playing with new antennas.
Other topics:
Deon, I won't be making Dayton this year, but Dave might be interested. It's too bad we did not hook up last year, but trying to hear a cell phone inside the exhibitor buildings was near impossible.
The ATS4 QRP rig that Nick mentioned a few postings ago are being kitted over the next few days. Steve Weber, KD1JV will begin taking orders this weekend. This should be a perfect rig for use when a small lightweight package is required.
