40M has been open the last couple of nights into Europe and Australia. The noise here in Brisbane has been no more than S1 so it has been a pleasure listening. I have not been able to break the pile ups though. I have been calling I2VRN Roberto in Milano, but no luck with the big signals on the east coast. He has a 4 element beam at 100ft. running 600 watts
