As restitution for bailing early on FYBO at Monte Bello I decided to get out and operate today before I have to go to a Super Bowl gathering.? I went over to Coyote Hills in the East Bay and climbed up Glider Hill.? It's a short hike, maybe .5 miles, and up about 300' from the parking.? The views from up there were amazing, from downtown SF to the south bay.? I set up the same equipment I had in Monte Bello Friday night, 20' Wonderpole vertical and FT-817 with Elecraft T1 tuner.? There was no noise on the radio up there.? I worked a couple NM QSO party stations on 20 and talked to a guy in a sail boat on the water outside Vancouver.? I then jumped down to 15 and answered a CQ from Iowa.? I ended up talking to that gentleman for about 30 minutes until noon and then packed up to head home.? It was a great trip, add it to you list if you're looking to travel across the bridge some time.
