Hi I am new to the group and trying to sell some eq for a silent keys XYL. He has a QRP plus but when I apply 12v it pulls the PS down to 3v and the radio does not turn on. I have tried 2 different 12v PS that are both rated at 4Amps . I should have know
it had an issue because the fuse was missing. I tried a cpu reset by applying power with the MEM button pushed. Also I tried disconnecting the 4 RCA plugs going to the top PCB board one at a time and all four off. The radio will not power on.
It does not blow the fuse. I have changed the battery on the second PCB. My guess its a short pulling the input 12v down to 3V. I dont want to spend a lot of time on this radio. Any suggestions? or should I? just sell it for parts.
