U4B autostart with usb power?

Kris Hubby All Messages By This Member #126275 Hello, I am powering my U4B with a usb solar panel and battery, since the U4B does not have? controller for a solar panel or battery charging. I'm not using this on a balloon, so the weight doesn't matter. I need the autostart to go, but it doesn't appear to. I was assuming the autostart would only be interrupted if the console is opened. Any ideas?
VE3KCL All Messages By This Member #126332 The U4B has a voltage regulator on the plus and minus terminal? Never exceed 5.5v on the plus and minus and it will start when powered. Take the 5.2v from your solar usb rig power and apply it to plus and minus and it should start. Sensing power on the Usb line will cause the U4B to make other things happen that will start a terminal application that you probably do not want running if you are just transmitting to an antenna with the U4B.
