U4B autostart with usb power?

Hello, I am powering my U4B with a usb solar panel and
battery, since the U4B does not have? controller for a solar panel or
battery charging.
I'm not using this on a balloon, so the weight doesn't matter.
I
need the autostart to go, but it doesn't appear to. I was assuming the
autostart would only be interrupted if the console is opened.
Any ideas?
