QDX xmit one flash
OK all. A big plus, but my troubleshooting isn't totally complete, yet. I now can receive and decode! See below for a screen shot. As far as transmit; though, I'm still not there. I can now transmit via the testing menu via putty. I am putting out about 4 watts RF on 20M, but I still cannot get any transmit from WSJT-X or JS8 Call. I have everything in my windows (win11) configurations set to 100%, but still nada. What else should I be looking into?

开云体育Wayne,What did the CAT Test and PTT Test show in the Wsjtx Settings/Radio page? Maybe post a screen shot of your setup. 73, Cliff, AE5ZA

开云体育Check that the QDX audio output in the
PC is on.? I had this with my QMX and it turned out that the QMX
sound output wasn't turned on.
Settings - sound look for the QDX and
check the volume is 100% and not turned off.

开云体育Ok. What happens after the CAT test and you push PTT, does it turn red? Another click on PTT turns if off.Tested your radio config and it works FB here. FYI, if you have the latest Wsjtx there is a rig option for the QDX that will let you use Split operation by selecting Rig rather than None. It's called QRPLabs QCX/QDX. You might try that. I doubt it'll fix the problem, but it's setup especially for the QRPLabs rigs so you might want to use it. 73, Cliff, AE5ZA

开云体育Wayne,L12 is for receive BPF so it shouldn't affect Tx. Of course make sure the blob isn't hitting something else that it shouldn't be. In the first photo it looks like solder in the "GND" pcb hole between the trifilar and L12 toroids. It's probably just and illusion, but that hole shouldn't have anything in it. Just curious, what did you do to get Rx working now?? 73, Cliff, AE5ZA

Hey, Cliff. So, the gnd hole you spotted doesn't have anything in it. It must just be the way it looks in the photo. For getting audio in, I followed someone else's advice and reloaded the firmware. I then got transmit via putty and now I am getting audio in. I've gotta another piece to this puzzle, though. A friend of mine built a QDX a few weeks ago. His works, so he broight it over for me to try. Guess what? It doesn't work on my computer. I'm seeing the same fail with it as I do with mine. So, I'm thinking my problem isn't with the radio. It is something with my computer. I tried changing the USB cable out, but that didn't change anything.

Your setting does NOT allow 'apps and Windosws' to use
your QDX device !
AND you are saying the QDX should be the Windows
DEFAULT device ...?
Digi devices should NEVER be allowed to be the
'default' windows audio ... because all your Windoze
system sounds will be transmitted over the digi signal.
And of course you SHOULD ALLOW apps to use
the digi device ...

I think you are misunderstanding the windows panel. The "Don't Allow" is a button that you click to disable access. The current state is on the left where it says "Audio, Allow apps and Windows to use this device for audio".?
It does appear that the QDX is the default audio device though and that is probably a bad idea since all of the windows sounds will go to the QDX.
That's my take anyway.?
My working setup looks the same except that the QDX is not the default sound device.
