Info power 5 v qlg1 external

If not, the most common problem is not having the correct data Tx/Rx lines connected between the QLG1 and the QCX-mini.? From memory, the QLG1's TXD?data line should connect to QCX-mini's?Serial data?data connection. Since the QCX-mini uses 3.5mm TRS jacks the wiring is shown below as per the instruction manual: Does this help? --Al

What I did this morning is to feed the qlg1 not from the PTT of the qcx mini but from an external power supply and I noticed that it did not update the time to transmit in wspr. Al this is what I have to fix.? If all the LEDs work on the QLG1 showing power, data and PPS with the external 5V supply then the unit should communicate with the QCX-mini properly. If it does not, then I'd look into verifying the connection between the two units. Good luck & 73, --Al
Julian N4JO Member Profile All Messages By This Member #74691 Make sure you have the grounds connected properly. This means that at least one of the power supplies must be isolated from ground, itself, but referenced to ground at the QCX, or you may get a ground loop.? -- Julian, N4JO.
