Another queation on QMX assembly

When aasembling the power supplies 2.17 step 5 says this;

" The pin header pin that is nearest to the +12V pin of the DC power connector is NOT supposed to be connected. If you create a short there, you WILL destroy the entire board. "

I am a bit confused.? The 90 degree header nearest the dc jack is 8 pin.? Each pin has a solder pad.? Am I NOT SUPPOSED to solder one of them?? I am not understanding something.

Thanks Again for your input!

Bruce, it just says to make sure you don¡¯t have continuity between the center pin of the DC jack and the 90 degree pin header pin closest to it. That pin needs to be soldered to the board but just be careful not to get too much solder on it and accidentally short it to the +12v?

Good luck. ¡. Ron
