Congratulations Barb!

Great write-up and it was fantastic?to be there to witness it and your winning entry, as well as the presentation at the Saturday banquet.?

My fav bit:

"Hans Summers from QRP LABS was watching my transmitter performance and his comment made me laugh, ¡°Well done Barb, watch yourself, next year I am coming after you!¡± ?"

Hhahaha..... yep too busy this year with preparations for QMX+. But next year! NO new products! NO new firmware! NO nothing! Only logic gate TXs...

Barb, way to go!

That its a very reproducible design with margins is commendable.

Congrats Barb
I really enjoyed the write-up, and was really curious as to the secret ingredient and how you obtained nearly twice the power I did. ?I was also at your banquet table.?
A fun little competition. I used basically the same IC, but used a push-pull configuration on the theory that it would generate less heat. I did lots of trial & error to find the best turns ratio. As you found out, the eleven volt supply level was the death point for the chip. Your custom circuit board was intimidating, as I typically dead-bug my circuits. Thanks for sharing your design process!
