5 Watt PA

Vernon Matheson #17449 开云体育 Hi all, ? I now have the V3.12 controller chip set up and working in my U3S. ? I have the 5 watt PA built with full assembly. ? My question is if I leave the PTT and the Cosine Shaping in a non-active state and no connection between D4, D5, ?etc and the PA ( the 4 control wires ) will the PA ?work? ? Vernon

Vernon Matheson #17461 开云体育 Well after connecting the control wires and then checking everything again to make sure all was what it was supposed to be I connected the U3S to a dummy load and hit the switch. ? Everything powered up…U3S went through it’s calibration and then the TX started. ? On transmit the LCD went from the normal display you would get for 40m wspr ?to gibberish J ? The U3S worked perfectly all afternoon on wspr tx’ing 4 bands using the version 3.12a firmware. ? Anyway haven’t a clue as to what the problem is. ? Cheers, ? Vernon
