Im building a U3S with full complements of 5 band relay board, qlg2 GPS, and reciever into the qrp-labs enclosure.?

What ideas do you have for uses of the left side auxiliary switch?

?

I had in mind a power switch for the GPS so that it could be turned on without the radio switched on to allow the GPS to aquire and normalize with time update, prior to activating the transmitter. I don't know if this is really necessary or if there are better ideas out there.

I mounted an red LED in the left opening that lights when the unit is transmitting.?

Thats cool.? I always wanted that for my QCXs but the front panel on the + is crowded and the mini is jam packed as well.??

My EE skills are weak.? How did you connect the LED?

I used it for a backlight dimmer

I use it for a switch to turn power to the power amplifier on and off. That way I don't have to wait for e.g gps acquisition before the u3s is ready to transmit.

Sorry it took a while to find the manual it has been 4 years sense I built it. ?The screwdriver is pointing at the + feed point fir the LED. I picked up the - from the switch below the LED.
