I activate almost every park I do with a QMX I buillt (mid-range) and it's been flawless. I'm on the latest firmware and it's been wonderful. However, last weekend I activated, I was working on 20 meters and got about 18 contacts and switched bands to 15 meters. I was closing a QSO with someone and the rig locked up. A power cycle fixed it, but was concerned and wanted to drop a line here. out of dozens of times using this rig it's never done this and I have switched bands from 60 up to 15 with no issues. Is this a fluke?

I have been sending CQ on all 6 bands for over an hour and I can't replicate it freezing. I just had a QSO on 60 meters a few minutes ago. I guess it was a fluke.

It could have been RF leaking back into the rigs controller. Not a big surprise operating portable, and a specific band or even a specific frequency can do it. Build a simple choke balun that may be useful to you.?

That's what I'm beginning to think, and yes I will do that. I have the torroids and coax to do that :) Thanks.

I also tried to tune my rig with a 50' Coax cable that I forgot to plug into the antenna, so that is most likely what happened. I actually captured that moment on the video I posted earlier in the beginning of the video.
