????? When I built my QMX+ 4 weeks ago or so, I tested and aligned it using PuTTY and intended to return to tweak filters and such later.? Now is that time.?

???? I ran the PuTTY diagnostics screen and it acted oddly...very slow to react to inputs.? For example, I press all buttons and twist knobs in the span of 2 or 3 seconds, but it takes PuTTY up to 30 seconds to show that I've done this.?

???? Changing bands takes up to 3 minutes, and pressing "T" takes even longer *to show on the PuTTY screen*.? I highlighted "to show on the screen" because the requested action actually takes place immediately, proven by the frequency of the output or the power out of the rig when pressing "T".?

???? All the while that the display isn't showing the current? band or output status, the SMPS supplies and input voltage appear to be working in real-time as evidenced by the voltage digits varying slightly on the display.?

???? Currently this is simply an annoyance as it takes 15 minutes or more to cycle through the bands testing transmit power and battery data, or closing the program and power cycling the rig? when the program hangs up for good.

???? This happens on multiple Windows-based computers and several different USB cables including the one I originally used to setup and test the rig.? All other PuTTY functions appear to be working properly and in real-time.

???? Has anyone seen this behavior before?? Any suggestions what might be going on?

Firmware corruption?!?!?

I reloaded v26 firmware, then immediately loaded v27 firmware.? Now it works normally.? I can only assume something about operating corrupted the firmware.

I can't get PuTTy to work when using the diagnostics screen on my newly built QMX+.

I've reloaded PuTTy twice, and I've reloaded v26 and v27 firmware as described above.?

?

When I go into the diagnostics screen PuTTy just locks up and nothing appears to work.?

?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Yes I? press enter and can see the diagnostics screen,? but when I try to change bands it does exactly as described in the original post.?

To exit the diagnostics screen I press Ctrl Q and it takes up to 10 minutes to go back to the first screen.?

?

I tried it with PuTTy loaded onto another laptop, and with different USB cables and it makes no difference.

?

Both laptops are running on Windows 10.

???? Is it also acting like my original post:? SMPS units seem to react in real-time, knobs and buttons slow but much faster than band change or "T"ransmit?? If so, we may have the exact same problem.? I gave up troubleshooting it as the rest of the rig works well so I don't need the diagnostics screen running.? If you'd like to compare rigs though, I'm happy to open it up and poke around.

I forgot to mention that it only briefly worked when I updated the firmware.? At some point the problem returned and has remained ever since.
