Re: QRP Labs xciever with SSB capability
Hi Hans, My plot is not a two tone output but instead is the output of the numerical calculations.?? The AMP is the value to be written to the D/A converter or the PWM and the freq is the value to

An that form of attack is not good. As a personal aside.? Its all the mostly software deserved, the hardware was given free by use of Hans work.? ?I justified everything? said then (4 years ago)

Re: QRP Labs xciever with SSB capability
Hello Ron I'm not sure how that can reconcile with VK2IHL's result with the Polish example which uses drain amplitude modulation. He shows two tone peaks quite clearly and everything else below

Re: QRP Labs xciever with SSB capability
RE some of the two tone plots from reading the links: I found with my experiments with a Teensy version of the usdx from the qcx board that a two tone test does not test the entire polar modulation

Re: QRP Labs xciever with SSB capability
Hello Bojan VK2IHL actually said regarding IMD3: ? -40dBc/IMD3 Excellent ? -30dBc/IMD3 Good ? -20dBc/IMD3 Poor ? -10dBc/IMD3 Very poor But there is some room for confusion, between whether you

Re: QRP Labs xciever with SSB capability
Hi Hans, this difference of 15 dB in favour to the drain modulation compared to the gate modulation raises some hopes. Reading the article from the link about the measured IMD3 I realised the result

Re: Qmx+ shipping delay ??
Hi Simon We did get the QLG3 PCBs on 02-Aug-2024 and the antennas arrived on 07-Aug-2024; we are currently shipping the backlog which should hopefully be caught up on soon. There were 163 pending

Is there any news on this? I just want to make sure I'm not on vacation when the package arrives (ordered last week of July). 73! Simon

Wayne, What radio do you have? Tangential to your question: with the QMX/QMX+, you can control it with a cell phone or tablet using an app, no need for a computer or complex setup. (note: this is

Re: QCX alignment : what is it, and when do you need to repeat the process ?
As Alan says. If the QCX has recently been built by you: 1. Make sure C1 is not at either maximum or minimum at the signal peak...if it is then you will need to make alterations to the input BPF

Re: QRP Labs xciever with SSB capability
Hello Manuel At the outset - just to be clear - you know I love you, and I am not interested in any kind of emotive argument about anything, I am only very interested on the technical aspects, ONLY.

Re: QCX alignment : what is it, and when do you need to repeat the process ?
The manual says:- Band-pass trimmer capacitor peaking, C1 ? I-Q amplitude balance, R27 ? Audio phase shift adjustments, R17 and R24 The first is obvious, unlikely to change appreciably with

QCX alignment : what is it, and when do you need to repeat the process ?
Could someone please have a go to try and explain in simple terms what the alignment process on the QCX actually does ? I understand the manual says to do this once construction is complete. But are

I disagree, as you can clearly sense their agenda. You don?t even need to read between the lines as both make their personal issues with us/me relatively clear. We decided against "jumping through

Re: QRP Labs xciever with SSB capability
That?s pretty vague and too anecdotal for a technical person, like you. I can?t really tell what went wrong on your "brassboard" but I assume, you?ve used old QCX SSB Code. Same goes for QCX: QCX

See what emissions you can receive. Newer rigs tend to have a soundcard built-in and connect directly to a PC via USB. Older rigs benefit from a digital interface like signalink that can also connect
