Finally got to test it, no change. Compared to the mini or the qcx+ in 40m, it's deaf. Thinking I'm going to have to do something to T1. Need further advice please. -- Wayne S. KF7RCM

Re: MidBand QMX, not receive on 20/17/15
It's very easy to get this coil turned around backwards. I installed it properly on my first QMX-MB, and then installed it backwards on the second unit I built. As Ludwig says, check where L401a and

Re: QMX and optional GPS
James, the internal GPS only applies to the QMX+. If you are talking about a regular QMX then the external GPS is the only option. It plugs into the paddle key jack so can only be used to set the time

Re: QMX Filter Confusion
Spent a few hours last night with the User's Manual and may have worked this out - manual is excellent, by the way. CW filters, cw center, cw passband, cw offset, cw sidetone, auto offset, etc, plenty

Re: QMX and optional GPS
It needs to be ordered separately, but it is soldered to the main board during installation.? Gets power from main board.

Re: MidBand QMX, not receive on 20/17/15
Nurlan, these bands are related to BPF0 and 1, both using L401a (24 turns). Please check the solders there, especially the solder to RX_IN (turn "0"). 73 Ludwig

Re: MidBand QMX, not receive on 20/17/15
As the PCM1804 is common to all bands and you still have RX on the lower frequencies, it's unlikely that is the problem. This sounds more like an issue with the band switching circuitry. Al, K2ZN

QMX and optional GPS
Is the GPS module built into the QMX, or is it a separate component that resides outside of the case therefore needing a case of its own? I did see where it needs its own powersource.

Re: QMX vs QMX+ for portable operations
Hi Robert- If I had to choose one SOTA/POTA radio it would have to be a mid-band 60-15m QMX. The small size and negligible weight allow a complete setup to fit into a very small case. I use something

Re: New To Me QCX
One thing I've noticed with my QCX mini and QMX (with original filters) is that I will miss stations when tuning at 100Hz - reduce the step to 10Hz and see if you hear more stations. 73, Mike, KL7MJ

Re: does MX-P50M work with QMX?
I have an MX-P50A ( the A version does automatic band selection when connected to an FT-817, otherwise the same as the MX-P50M).? This amplifier has two relays that need to be grounded, unfortunately

Re: QMX vs QMX+ for portable operations
Robert, I decided for QMX Mid-Band 12V and it works great for me.? ?As 80% of QSOs are done on 40 and 20 band I am covered. For occasional DX 15m band is great. I am using home brew EFHW 40-10.

Re: does MX-P50M work with QMX?
Hi, Mine works perfectly. MX-P50M expects activation by grounding signal wire. QMX has this option too so all you need to do is switch it on in Configuration Screen terminal) and connect wires
