Hi Halden,
I don't believe that measuring the capacitance value helps in this case. My 30m QCX was low on power and replacing the two blue capacitors C25 and C26 was a big improvement. Before I

Re: QCX80 T1, S3 value?
You can use a smaller diameter wire for T1 for your QCX80 or just scramble wind the toroid as the manual indicates.
I had a real hassle winding the coil for the QCX40. ?It just fit with the provided

Your capacitors are most likely as marked.? An LCR meter will show different readings depending on the frequency used by the meter.? If your meter would use a lower frequency, the capacitance shown

Re: Now, questions about Relay Kit; Re: Problems with Relay Kit;
One of the problems, I think, is Relay 0 and the jumpers are not shown in the U3S instruction manual's schematic. The switched relay board's schematic only shows the 5 relays that it controls. But,

Yes, that's the one I used..found it after my first post.? This should save a lot of time trying to count turns accurately, and wear on my nerves.

Re: QCX80 T1, S3 value?
..I may have been able to answer my own question.? Found a toroid winding calculator online.? Seems that 68 turns on a T50-2 is about 23uH.? Opinions?

QCX80 T1, S3 value?
Can someone tell me the inductance of S3 for the 80 meter T1?? I lose track trying to count 68 turns and it would be a whole lot easier just to measure S3 for the proper L.? Everytime I count the

Hi all... I've been reading on this forum that there have been some issues with the bluish capacitors for the QCX low pass filters.? I recall that the matter is on Hans' list to investigate, but

Yep, could be that indeed Alan.? Also I should note that I was using an unmodified Rev2 board, so the PA instability issue might have had some hand in this as well.

Re: QCX from 9.6V supply - worth trying? (plus low voltage sidetone issue)
If you just want a low cost power supply, you can get 3 18650 e-cig batteries and get a 12v supply out of that.? 3s battery packs are a couple bucks, and it should be easy to find chargers and cells
