Re: QCX WARC Party - December 2022
Oh, no! Not RST again! When will be get rid of that scourge? How about the two-character Maidenhead Field Maidenhead Locator System - Wikipedia<https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maidenhead_Locator_System>

Re: How and where to get an rf Rx Output from QCX
Thanks, Hans, for clarifying that point.? Interesting story of how to solve hardware problems using clever software! But I think the principle of what I said stands: you disable the receiver from

Re: How and where to get an rf Rx Output from QCX
Just thinking about it a little more, if you tapped at the bandpass filter you could utilize it as well. Like at points 1 and 2 of T1. Evan could better explain if that would work. I would have to

Re: How and where to get an rf Rx Output from QCX
Murat, It is a good point that the T/R isolation may not be enough however, I think it is worth a try to measure it. You will get a little over a 3db drop in your QCX receive but I find a panadapter

Re: How and where to get an rf Rx Output from QCX
Hello Peter FYI... the synthesizer drive to the mixer is not disabled completely. It WAS, in the early firmware. However, there was a problem. The DC bias level through the phase shift network and CW

Re: How and where to get an rf Rx Output from QCX
I think there is a real problem of the isolation provided by Q5 when the QCX is in transmit.? On the LPF side of Q5 you have around 15V rms of RF and a significant level of RF appears at the receiver

Re: How and where to get an rf Rx Output from QCX
OM ta1db The challenge here is that the qcx does not possess an RF amplifier on receive. It Getz more complex if we still want to transmit the the qcx. Some sort of splitter or coupler takes energy

Re: How and where to get an rf Rx Output from QCX
ta1db, I still do not understand the goal of your project; If you want a Panadapter for the QCX, then the I/Q solution is the most direct and has the least impact on receiver sensitivity. I do not
