Re: Any builders out there for a QDX?
It¡¯s a fun build. I would say it is medium difficult. There are no SMDs to solder. Only you can decide if you are ready but read the manual while you are waiting. -- Colin Kaminski - K6JTH

Any builders out there for a QDX?
The more I read on this (and other forums), there seems to be a lot of pitfalls in building a QDX. I bought a v1 from another ham and it was awesome for about 4 months until it smoked all of the ICs

OK. Is that still the case if well formed audio is sent into a qdx, or will it also have a clicks?

Re: Speed Knob
Hi Steve, The features are impressive. If I was faster at remembering how to get to presets, I could have three presets and continue to leave my resolution at 50hz. Right now I spin from 20 to 110 and

Re: Suggestion to speed-up QDX serial port development
Hello Daniel This is a philosophical point. Naturally we don't "need" a VT220 terminal. Any terminal emulator does the job. But "Need" and "Want" are not necessarily the same thing. Every single one

Here is my speed knob... I set the resolution of the factory tuning knob to 1kHz resolution. Depressing the tuning knob once /twice allows the finer tuning resolution occasionally needed. Example: the

I'm not sure of the seriousness of the need for VT220 monitor, but cannot serial port software emulation of the VT220 accomplish the necessary if needed? I cut computing teeth on the VAX line of

Re: Speed Knob
I normally print all hobby stuff in PLA. It's usually easier and faster than my other options. For work all final drafts are PETG or ABS if the final product is going to be a stainless steel casting.

Re: G8GYW QRP Power SWR Meter
That sounds about right. 10W from my sensor gave 2.8V on TP1. Scaling down with the 18k and 10k resistors gives 1V at the ADC input. -- Mike G8GYW
