QDX v3 trifilar toroid T2 continuity
I just finished building my v3 QDX. Prior to T2, all of the continuity checks were okay (which is an improvement over my initial v2 build). On T2, however, things were different. The checks specified

Re: QCX Mini 40m version -Band Pass Filter Alignment Problem
Hi there. How do you measure the output? With a wattmeter of with a scope? IF you have a scope (AND an attenuator!!) please check the shape of the output!. If it is a solid sine-wave, that already

Re: UB4 WSPR decoding #u4b
Hello Colin The protocol is described here http://qrp-labs.com/flights/s4#protocol - there were a few minor changes but the bulk of it is the same and the information here would allow you to decode

Re: QCX WARC Party - April 2022
I missed the 13:00 session and 19:00 in the beginning no chance on 30 m and moved to 40 with PA0CMU Carel and F/G4IOR. Thanks to the Discord page I knew they were around. Later moved back to 30 m and

Re: QCX Mini 40m version -Band Pass Filter Alignment Problem
Colin Assuming you don't have a short between center and outer conductor, I still wonder about having connections at each T1 winding. Reflow may not cure an issue. On one of my qcx I manually scraped

U4B availability
Does anyone know if and when the U4B will be back in stock? I am flying one now and is doing great. Other than my design of my solar panel. I used Power film cells and they don¡¯t work that great.

Thank you John, I can find all the spots at :02 but there is a second transmission at :04. It should contain the 6 digit maidens-head locator, the altitude and the GPS status. I am not sure how to

Re: QDX caution
I guess I don't understand why you think js8call isn't documented. It's fully open source. In most open source projects, you do not get much more than this:

TNT driver went to the wrong house but kit arrived a couple of days later. I checked through the inventory first and boxed it back up until I was ready. I spread the construction over a few days,

Re: QDX caution
Not really. ?The JS8 encoding was changed in several ways such that an FT8 decoder can't decode it at all. ?And AFAIK currently the modifications aren't all documented sufficient to allow

Re: QDX caution
I live in Colorado and routinely make contacts with my mini¡¯s and QCX rigs on both coasts with a trap vertical. Unlike FT8 and such, you have to be patient and work at it. That¡¯s ham radio. Gary

I enjoy FT4/8 modes, as those are the only modes I can use to make contacts.? I'd much prefer CW, but CW contacts, with low powder and what amounts to a faraday shielded antenna just don't yeild
