I'm not arguing the fact that most EFHWs are not true EFHWs but the fact that a radio, marketed for portable ops, is so sensitive to RFI that it requires capacitors, choking, toroids, etc to be usable

I agree about QRQ. I used to be able to copy 40-45 wpm when I was on the
air on a regular basis. Now not so much anymore. Some of these guys are
hitting 50-60 wpm with computer generated CW. Don't see

Some were too fast to copy in my QCX-mini's bandwith.? Dits and Dahs melded together.? Most were fine.? I worked 75% of what I heard that were loud.
