Re: slow keying decay, chirp, and stutter
I just tried the mod (parallel R41 with another 470 ohm resistor) to solve the slow keying decay between characters in semi QSK mode -- it did not help on my QCX. Steve N9SZ

Re: slow keying decay, chirp, and stutter
I found the discussions on the slow keying decay in semi break-in mode, so never mind on that one. Steve N9SZ

Re: QCX Blank LCD
Thanks, I¡¯ll try that and report when I get the replacement for the 7805 I destroyed. Steve, I checked the micro controller: correct orientation and no bent pins. Thanks, everyone, for your help!

slow keying decay, chirp, and stutter
My newly built 40 meter QCX shows some interesting behavior: In semi break-in mode only, the cw keying on a separate receiver shows a slow decay of the signal (about one second decay rate) after the

Re: QCX keying waveform issues in semi break-in still not reolved. #qcx
Hi Derek, I have a 30m QCX and have listened to the output on my TS570 transceiver and can confirm that I can hear what I would refer to as a "backwave" between characters. I don't have a 'scope. I

QCX keying waveform issues in semi break-in still not reolved. #qcx
*Hi.* *Just an update for everyone about the modifications suggested by Wolfgang DK4RW to ensure clean switching in full break-in mode. This involved reducing the base emitter resistor R41 with a

Re: Row of Blocks on the Top Line
Hi, I replaced L5 and L6 100uH inductors and was able to power my QCX. Everything seems to be working fine. ? No QSOs yet, I need to finish?some details on the enclosure box hopefully this week.

Power output questions
I¡¯ve completed my 20m QCX. It works fine, and hooked up to my hex beam, I¡¯ve made quite a few local and DX contacts. Yesterday I measured power output across an Elecraft dummy load - 8.25 volts -

One group implemented tags to make filtering what messages you wanted to see at least.? Of course people had to remember to place the tags.? People have to use it to make it effective.??? Just

Dear Mike, I had a similar problem when trying to peak my 60M T1.? But my signal strength at the start was higher than 2.? Make sure that the 80M band pass filter between the antenna and the primary

Re: qcx powers up, but no calibration tone
Just a thought - if you used sockets on the audio chips, verify that all I.C. pins in the audio chain before the bandpass filter are properly plugged into their socket pins. the bpf peaking test

correct me if I misunderstand. hpf cutoff frequency at -3 dB level = 1/(2pi*R37*C22) and 0.27uF(600Hz)? 0.33uF(500Hz) will be best choice than 0.1uF(1600Hz)? Oleg RN4HGS
