QCX kits shipment update
Hi all I updated the QCX page with what I hope is a clear status. http://qrp-labs.com/qcx 73 Hans G0UPL http://qrp-labs.com

Re: [QCX] Harmonics class E #qcx
Found this note from Hans. The amp in the U3S is probably more Class C than D. The 3.3V pk-pk squarewave from the Si5351A probably isn't enough to hit the BS170 hard off/on. So I think optimistically

Thanks Mark for the info.? A googling I will go.? At least I understand that. Peter

Re: Ordering parts without outrageous shipping costs
You might want to take a look on Amazon, I've already found a pack of replacement screws for the enclosures, they also sell boxes with a large selection of transistors, resistors and capacitors, it's

Re: Stupid! Stupid! Stupid! I killed my QCX receiver!
Well...? so far I have incorrect voltages on pins 5 and 6 of IC5 (both less than half of what they should read), and no output at all on CLK0 and CLK1 using the onboard counter function and my bench

Re: [QCX] Harmonics class E #qcx
The U3S has bias on the Mosfet(s) so is that class D? , surely notcheersGeoffGI0GDP

Re: ProgRock Reg 2 odd behavior?
Do you have the PPS pin grounded if you are not using GPS. Also the crystals do seem to drift. Put a TCXO in one and it is much much much better. I did have one with crystal jump 1.4KHz for no

ProgRock Reg 2 odd behavior?
I have the receiver module and using ProgRock as LO.? Using serial port interface to change freqs.? I have set reg 2 to calibrate LO output freq in the past and all worked fine. Today I noticed that

[QCX] Harmonics class E #qcx
Hi Does class E make stronger or weaker harmonics than class D, that I think the U3 uses? Jan

Re: I am confused
Welcome back to the hobby, Peter!! QRS is the CW code for “slow down your CW speed” or descriptive “I am using slow speed” QRSS is REALLY SLOW speed. It is decoded by looking at the signal

Theoretical comparison 20 LPF with 1 or 2 turns less.
Hi A theoretical comparison of the original number off turns and 1 and 2 turns less. Note the Toroid calculator at Kits an parts says that 17 turns is 0.87 uH not the 0.904 Hans say,? on other

Re: [4sale] QCX
that works but so should searching on "CW Transceiver kit" which did not. Not until I restricted results to items located in Japan. eBay's search tool is "too smart" sometimes as it "assumes"

Re: GPS into QCX brings smoke
Hi Curt Thanks for the reply. Don't forget if the mosfets are still on the board then all values will be the same as they are in parallel? My guess is that your problem is the number of turns on

Re: High loss 20 m LPF, simulation #filter
Simulations are interesting, but my practical realisations of the 30m filter have shown much higher insertion loss than 0.15dB. PeterO G0DZB -- Please don't email me "off list" about "QCX

Thanks Warren Tou are absolutly correct. Changed in the file, now the plot looks ok. So I have deleted the original plots as they was incorrect. Jan

Re: High loss 20 m LPF, simulation #filter
Jan, I think that element #1 in your 20 meter simulation should be type "cap par", not "cap ser". This might explain why the shape is soo odd looking. 73, Warren K2GQT

Re: ZL1RS balloon flight BB02
VK4RV must have his radio on 20m but his WSJT-X software set to the wrong band (30m). BB02 is only transmitting on 20m.

Mike Thanks for email, you logic is good.? in my case all 3 mosfets measure the same when tested with dvm for resistance. So I think they each may have taken some damage,? so I plan to replace the
