Re: Drift
I changed from 150,000,000 to 149,000,000 with no appreciable change and went to 075,000,000 and was still getting drift of 2 to 4 (on 20m), so it looks like something's not quite there.? I'm not

Re: 17 meter QCX output issue.
Thanks for the offer Steve. I may take you up on it. Bill N7EU's comment
gave me a number to work with. Heading to the somewhat local, parts
distributor tomorrow. See If I can find something suitable.

Low RF power output -- would this fix the problem?
Removing the LPF toroids is difficult. Would an acceptable alternative fix be to short out 1 or 2 turns by soldering a short on the top of the toroid? What effect would the shorted turns have other

Re: Some L1 pictures?
Hi Bill,
No.? I used the specified turns and the trimmer capacitor tunes the inductor just about in the middle of the plate closure.? If I had had the #34 wire when I wound it, I would have used

Re: One more comment on QCX toroids - number of turns
At the risk of beating this horse to death, I built my 40m kit using the exact number of turns that the manual instructed. I'm getting a solid 4 watts out, using a 12v supply. I don't know about the

Re: Drift
Do you mean small incremental changes, like the 149,000,000 figure mentioned elsewhere, or a more extreme setting, say halving the frequency?
Will this disrupt the currently-proper drift on 40m??

Re: QCX 3D print
Hi Kurt - I'm sorry but I can't give a recommendation but only my experience.
I bought a Anet A8 kit from Gearbest.? It wasn't a challenge to assemble.? The prints I get are very usable.? The

Hans;
Thank you for your quick response. Yes, that is exactly what I had in mind. I should have spent a little more time researching my thought. None the less this is perfect.

Re: QCX Enclosure idea
I built a plastic enclosure for my SW30 - A mitre saw with a fine blade will produce panels with square corners and I used pushnuts to fasten the lid to the box

Ian
Additionally to what others have said...
On your image it seems that the gap between transmissions is well under one
minute. Is this actually two consecutive transmissions or did you switch
off

Re: QCX Enclosure idea
Hello Kurt
Have a look at the QCX builder's gallery
http://www.qrp-labs.com/qcx/qcxgallery.html and scroll down to the acrylic
enclosure by Shig JA1XRQ. He made a nice PDF explaining all of it, and

I assume you are using a 'standard' QRP-Labs synth board and not the
OCXO version.
What Park Mode type are you using Ian?
Examples: In mode 2 the park mode is inactive

QCX Enclosure idea
So I don't have access to a 3d printer and what I've seen it is amazing. I have considered welding one together using a Polycarbonate material. Has anyone gone this route? With any success? Any

Of course I am assuming you can hear the U3S on a local RX rather than a remote report??

Low audio gain and no power out with 20m QCX
Hi,
I had my 20m QCX working perfectly, but after four or five cycles of WSPR TX the display went blank and the receiver stopped working. As I couldn't detect 5V anywhere I presumed the 7805

Re: U3S drift/chirp - again!
Ian,
Have you tried with NO PA voltage?
That looks more like a voltage change than temperature related. It seems to stabilise too quickly.
Is that related? It looks as if it might start correctly

Jim,
???? As far as you can tell, did using a smaller diameter wire change the number of turns at all?? I'd rather not have to desolder the primary to add or remove turns.
