Re: Do I have a 9 or 12 volt qdx, qmx
It's safe to run either one on less than 9 volts. You want to try to limit the output power to 5 watts or less. If it's built for 9 volts, then the output power into a 50 ohm dummy load will be close

Re: Do I have a 9 or 12 volt qdx, qmx
An educated guess, 12 volt. Try to count the number of windings and compare to the online instructions for QMX transformers.

Hi Hans Thanks for considering PTT TX delay for CW on the QMX's The configuration I use with the PA50+ is semi QSK only. Full break in is out of the question due to T/R relay functions in PA50+. I do

Re: Do I have a 9 or 12 volt qdx, qmx
If you have a variable voltage power supply, you could feed them with 9v and see what output you get to a dummy load, and compare with the graphs in the manual. Roger 8P6RX ?Get BlueMail for

Do I have a 9 or 12 volt qdx, qmx
I purchased both a QDX and a QMX at an estate sale and I'm not sure which voltage they are built for.? I see in the manual that the T1 transformer can be wound 3:3 or 3:2 depending on what voltage

People like the micro PA50+, particularly after upgrading to the latest firmware. As mentioned, using wired PTT might be safer than RF sense. The PA50+ does have some ACC output, and I believe people

Maybe at 10Hz and 100Hz that would be helpful, but I wouldn't want it at 500Hz and 1kHz - I often want the offset to remain.
