After replacing L403 with the T37-6 toroid, I found no difference in the output power. I buttoned everything up and called it a day. On to repairing the original QMX to see if I can breathe life into

Re: Using the QMX+ with an auto-tuner
I should have clarified. I do this with the tuner in "Tune" or low output mode. I did not know that other method was available and it is clearly superior.

Re: Fine tuning of a QDX
I read all the threads about the 20M band audio sweep and low output power problem. I tried to tune the LPF without any significant result and I stop doing these attempts to improve my QDX.

Re: shorted PA on TX, dead SMPSU?
Hi Dan,
Before investing in the new SMPS boards, I suggest first verifying that there is no problem with the motherboard.? With both SMPS boards removed, measure the resistance to ground of the Vdd

Re: more WSJT-X touble
I suspect you just need to update 'hamlib' in WSJT-X.? The definition for QMX was changed recently, and something broke with it in hamlib 4.6.1, so you need to update to hamlib 4.6.2 or

Nate,
Thanks for your answer. About the 20M band I already finely tuned the Audio gain (db) in Putty in order to get on each band a +30dB signal strength in JS8Call and for that I have set 30M to 76,

If it's the coiled wire like in some telephone cords, I managed to solder it. Just don't expect it to look pretty, because the solder doesn't want to stick to the poly cord for some reason. Anyway,
