Re: QMX+ Receive sensitivity and birdies
A 5w penalty on a QRP rig is quite a handicap!!!
I had some odd receive issues the other day and it turned out to be a bad BNC connector.. so small hidden things can really mess with your audio.

Hi Hans,
great to have the SSB firmware now!
There might be a little bug in the calibration.
If you go straight to the calibration menu via putty and press "R" nothing happens.

Re: Using the Rev. 5 relay-switched LPF kit with 1 separate antenna outputs
The jumper settings for the 2 options are shown on the main ultimate LPF page of QRP-LABS: https://qrp-labs.com/ultimatelpf.html
About 2/3 of the way down the page, it shows the same information as

Re: Lowering QDX output for amplifier
I'm running my 12 volt built QDX with 6 volts. The output is less than two watts and I'm putting that through a 15 DB attenuator into the 10 watt amplifier that was built for the QSX. It is happily

And: 95% convergence? The QSX is not retired; you just released v.2 and called it "QMX+"! This is definitely

Re: QSX project retirement
In 1976 Heathkit released the HW8 kit for $139.95. That was what got me interested in QRP as a new ham. The QMX is a dream by comparison, and your documentation has enabled me to learn a lot more than

Hi Simon
The CAT commands in QMX should work with SSB. The mode number for USB is 2
and for LSB is 1 (for use with the MD command).
FW command will return the correct name of the filter bandwidth

Update.
I routed my microphones to the QMX to try the SSB but may have to wire up a PTT.
I expected FLRIG to be able to key the PTT as it does on CW and DiGi but apparently not.
Leaving aside that
