Re: Antenna Tuners for QMX and QMX+?
I've been thinking of adding a band output to my QMX+.
Then the antenna tuner already knows before going to the show which band he has to work on, uses the successful settings of the same band last

Re: Antenna Tuners for QMX and QMX+?
My not so humble opinion (because of 65 years of experience and many mistakes) is this:
Forget an automatic tuner with a QMX or QMX+ or any QRP Labs radio. With an antenna that is not matched

Re: QMX+ new build, dark display, no EEPROM file
Now - only blocks on display no matter what contrast setting is.
I made contact using putty. I set the system config to QMX+ 160-6 and then went to hardware tests, diagnostics.

Thanks Stan
I found good resistances on the main and display board. Pulling the 5V SMPS on careful examination? I saw a doubtful connection. Cleaning that up and I now have 5V on the board, the

Re: Antenna Tuners for QMX and QMX+?
Hi Jason,
I had the same idea as you. It's possible to build a z match like Kanga or ZM-2 into a very small box, together with a resistive tuning bridge and a common mode choke. It's fiddly but not

Suggestion for a 20 volt power supply for the 50 Watt QRP Labs Amp
Dear Folks:
I have been having fun with the QRP Labs amplifier driven by my QCX Xcvr.? However, I have the amplifier powered off the shack's 13.3 volt supply (the QCX supplies just under 4 watts of

Hello Robert
I agree, and I will make this edit to the next manual update (Rev 3 board);
I don't think it's critical enough to warrant spending time updating the
Rev 2 manual.

Re: Antenna Tuners for QMX and QMX+?
I have followed these discussions for months. What I have taken from them is that an automatic tuner is not a good choice because of the mechanics of most of those devices.
There¡¯s many MANUAL

QDX Rev 4 Works on 30/40/60 but not 20m?
My QDX Rev 4 is receiving just fine on 30/40/60m but nothing on 20m. It was working on 20m some while back. I've reflowed L12 and C29 several times but no joy. Perhaps C29 has gone kaput but I

Re: QMX+ new build, dark display, no EEPROM file
Check and see if you still have 2.5V on VCC and to the front panel.? That is abnormal, it should be 5V.? So something in either the front panel or the main board is pulling down on the power supply,

Hi Yes, it's just a button you press and the calibration happens by itself,
and is specific to the actual hardware being calibrated. The only necessary
