Re: Picnic portables and GPS
Hi David Nobody wants to be at the mercy of those suppliers. PCB's manufactured in one week? Pffft. I'll arrange for the v2.02a chips to be sent to you separately... 73 Hans G0UPL

Re: Picnic portables and GPS
Andy, et al Well, of course you could glue a lid on, but that raises more problems than it solves for me. If you just want a radio-transparent waterproof annexe to the U2 case, gluing a lid over the

Re: Any BPF 50 MHz design
The reception reports will have to wait until the updated firmware chip arrives so that I can get a 6 meter signal out of the U2... Else, I have a design that will fit. Also, waiting the filter

Re: Any BPF 50 MHz design
Done. That was very simple, I designed one some years ago and it is used on my Linear Mixer - Broadband Linear PA - VHF MEPT system, so I knocked up another. :-) . What is the penalty for proving

Picnic portables and GPS
Was just looking at "flanged potting boxes" instead of Nescafe lids (copyright G4JVF) ;-) [SEARCH EBAY) These look like a reasonable way of affixing a protective top to a box, in which the GPS is

Re: Any BPF 50 MHz design
All If someone builds a 6m design, 7-element LPF which will fit on the kit PCB, I am happy to stock them in the shop. I think it would be good if someone proves it works first ;-) One free Ultimate2

Re: Any BPF 50 MHz design
I ran a fast 6 meter filter design from the AADE software and put the schematic and calculated plot in my Photos section KE7HR. This might be a starting point. Paul KE7HR

Re: Any BPF 50 MHz design
There is FREE filter design software at: http://aade.com/filter.htm It also includes a calculator to determine which toroid to use and the number of turns to complete the design. I usually take what

Re: Those GPS 1pps problems.
Thanks Robert interesting stuff. I am sure Hans will crack it, if all else fails a special v2.01 GPS parameters with v2.02 RF will be the final solution, because the Trimble was fine on v2.01. 73
