Re: Production seems to have slowed significantly
Like any small production line, it can be influenced by local holidays, people getting sick or their families becoming ill, schools/colleges starting the winter semester and other things. Give it a

Re: Production seems to have slowed significantly
If I had to guess, I'd say one factor is the new QMX+. It's a more time-consuming build than most of the QRP Labs kits, so the same building resources will produce fewer assembled

Production seems to have slowed significantly
Between August and Sept I moved up about 200 spots, and this month I'm currently trending to be closer to ~100 for the same period. At first it looked like I was going to get it by Halloween, now it's

QMX+ PA Voltage marginally low
Hello, I have built up my QMX plus purchased at the Telford rally and have a question to check. Using a PuTTY terminal to access Hardware tests, Diagnostics, under transmitter; the Voltage (on the PA)

I also changed the lPF configuration for 60m it looks like. I seem to have good results but would like someone else to take a look and verify if there will be any problems with the way I have the

I have finally completed the function testing of my QDX after build. It is a REV 3 and I wound all xformers with the small gauge wire. I used the new pwer trafo winding technique. I followed winding

Re: Qmx+ V1 dodo #QMXplus #supply
Hi, I don't know for the 9V build but for the 12V built QMX the startup current is something like 170mA, if I remember it correctly. So at my first start I had to correct my current limit a bit to

Re: QMX low pass filter
Lindsay, for debugging you may use the document QMX LPF section ( /g/QRPLabs/wiki/36879 ) from the QRP Labs Wiki. 73 Ludwig

Re: Qmx+ V1 dodo #QMXplus #supply
Ivica, bevor doing the SMPS off line test I would check resistance from VDD to GND (and also VCC to GND) for the mainboard. You have a rev. 1 board? So remove the SMPS boards and other subboards

QMX low pass filter
My QMX transmits (low power around 0.5 watts) into my fan dipole tuned for the 80 and 40 COAs on all bands from 40m up, but trying on 80m causes an immediate current limit, which suggests a short in

Ivica The first thing I would do is, remove both SMPS boards and test them stand alone as attached file. 73 Ian G4GIR

Re: Damaged resistor R520
Hi Rey Looking at the circuit diagram R520 is a 49.9 ohm resistor, replacing this with a 5.1k would certainly affect the SWR readings. You might get away with using a 47 or 51 ohm through hole

Re: Damaged resistor R520
Hi, The value of a QMX R520 is 49R9 Ohm and not 5k1. You can use two 100R in parallel or 56R and 470R in parallel. -- 73 Bojan S53DZ
