Re: Connector Source Assistance
Donald pointed these out and I've used them for decades in aviation and other uses. https://www.amazon.com/CONNECTIVITY-320555-TERMINAL-DISCONNECT-SPLICE/dp/B00MMZ0QUU Knife disconnect splice.?

Re: SKCC Logger settings?
All, I'm a bit embarrassed to say the issue was "operator error".? SKCC Logger queries VFO A.? I was inadvertently using VFO B to operate.? Thus, the freq never changed except when I changed bands

Re: Low Audio QDX #build #qdx #transmitpower
Hi Mark Reducing the threshold isn't the correct solution. You should set all the volumes on the computer to 100%. Application (WSJT-X slider), device volume and master volume. 73 Hans

Re: Ree: QQDX and QMX+ (soon at least) what is the max safe swr?
Garth if that is true then the antenna is not presenting 50 ohms and the SWR on the line exists. However at some frequencies with antenna mismatch varying the line length can alter the presented?

Re: Low Audio QDX #build #qdx #transmitpower
Mark, So you have not seen the relaxed pulses of TX.. Hans was particularly pleased when he wrote that gentle display. It replaced the rapid 3 flashes because others complained they could not be sure

Ree: QQDX and QMX+ (soon at least) what is the max safe swr?
I was thinking along those lines recently, how an awkward length of coax feeder can cause high SWR on some bands. Were such things available then a 2-pole 2-way coax switch could be used to switch

Re: Low Audio QDX #build #qdx #transmitpower
Shoot! It is actually 2 flashes that I am seeing. I fat-fingered that. I am getting audio, just not enough to TX. I am also running FW 1_10, for what it's worth. I will try lowering the

Re: Connector Source Assistance
Have you considered using traps instead of quick connections?? With traps you don't have to do anything to the antenna when changing bands, allowing frequent and rapid band

Trigger cables? Not so far. I suspect another noise source.

Re: Low Audio QDX #build #qdx #transmitpower
OK Hans:-) Sorry. I just did not think of firmware, the gentle pulse was introduced long ago, I thought everyone would have updated. I should remember, I was the one who asked for the 3 flashes to be

Re: How hard would it be to rework the QRP-Labs Receiver board into a Quadrature (up converter) transmitter board?
Don, I've had the opportunity to use that...? Quote from my report. We were testing the high power amp (audio 3KW) and we had the opportunity to witness a spectacular deflagration and

Re: Assembled qcx-mini 20m
Don, the QCX mini has a local oscillator for the receiver that¡¯s 700 Hz away from the transmit frequency. It is strong enough to hear on local receivers but not strong enough to travel any distance

Re: Connector Source Assistance
There are some inexpensive components used in mains and industrial wiring called "Ferrules". These are small tubes that are crimped on wires to reinforce them before using them with screw down

Re: Low Audio QDX #build #qdx #transmitpower
Hi Alan This is the problem, not enough audio. Nothing else causes the flashing. But he said he has 3 flashes. On the older QDX firmware that means enough audio, on the newer firmware the LED would

Thomas, It looks as if something could be wrong with the Si5351 as you suggest. Possibly the firmware could have been corrupted, in which case a Factory Reset may cure the problem. Good luck and
