Re: QMX Carry Case
G'Day Robb (again)
I do like your case, there seems to be enough depth for the encoder knobs.
Unfortunately Amazon doesn't ship that case to VK - obviously it is a dangerous item...Hi Hi

Re: QMX Carry Case
G'Day Robb - I have both the Hi & Low Band QMX. So I have a larger case that holds the antenna, cables, battery, etc
I am after an "individual" case to protect the radios individually.

Re: QMX for 40, 30, 20, 17, 15, 12, & 10 Meters?
Hey this is my project :)
For QDX and QMX (I done this before by the help of Ross, now it is more clear with QMX+)
I am using QMX+'s LPFs and BPFs on those bands
Only problem I had was
I need more

Re: QMX-to-QMX demo with dummy loads
va3rr,
Sounds like you solved your problem. My experience has been leaky DLs work very well without overloading. If they're too well shielded, Doug's idea would be a good one.

Re: QMX+ Power Increasing Question
Of course there are more possible reason for non perfect output from IC503 without a load and worse with BS170, a faulty IC or a wobbly voltage supply.

Another QMX+ got onto the air
Hello all,
Today I finished my QMX+ and after some initial configuration / diagnostics I measured the output power by triggering in TX in the diagnostic screen.
The power outputs where (for

Re: QRM from QLG3.
Hi Steve,
I am experiencing the same thing. It starts on 20 m and gets progressively ?louder until
so loud on 50 MHz, that band is unusable. I suspected the gps module as another reply

Re: QMX-to-QMX demo with dummy loads
I gave it a whirl. With both rigs plugged into dummy loads, the signal is not very strong at all. I was actually worried about overloading the QMX receiver, but no worries. Alles gut!
mni tnx!

Re: QMX keyer behavior
Out of curiosity I dragged out my HamGadgets PicoKeyer Plus. That one gives me grief in Iambic A mode, but it's good in Iambic B.
This has been educational for me.

Re: QMX-to-QMX demo with dummy loads
6 feet of cheap coax between radios and loads will also do the job.

Well, since it seems we are getting off topic, I did enjoy the bio diesel smell. Reminiscent of French fries being cooked.

Re: QMX keyer behavior
Great news Mark
I am always surprised how differently keyers behave. It reminds me of driving a car in the UK. The vast majority have a manual gearbox (stick) and each is a little different.

Re: A question for builders
I remember, also in the 60's, when Detroit, Mi decided to add a scent to their diesel bus fuel.? The end result was worse than prior, but an interesting novelty.

Re: QMX keyer behavior
Yes, that is what I do using the internal keyer: Iambic B and use a single
lever paddle.
I also use squeeze (twin) paddles in Iambic A mode but with the internal
keyer but that's giving me QSD
