Re: QMX whet quiet during transmission #20m #50w #qmx #troubleshoot #troubleshooting
Very high, dangerous without a good load. For more investigation avoid sending and reduce supply voltage to around 7 V for short tests. Please connect a dummy load and go to Terminal - Hardware tests

Re: QMX whet quiet during transmission #20m #50w #qmx #troubleshoot #troubleshooting
Correction, when running SWR sweep on 20m QMX consumes 1.4A and SWR needle show a tiny signal when at maximum sensitivity Using HW Tests - Diagnostics, I see 0w output on all bands except 15 and 11m

Re: QMX whet quiet during transmission #20m #50w #qmx #troubleshoot #troubleshooting
No output from the QMX on antenna when sending. I connected a power meter direct to antenna conn. I hear the dit and dat in the speaker and can see what I sending on internal morse decoder in display.

Re: QMX whet quiet during transmission #20m #50w #qmx #troubleshoot #troubleshooting
Is there an output from the QMX stand allone or not? Without prducing rf no measurement of the SWR. Did you test the QMX without any connection to the PA? 73, Ludwig

Re: Progrock/SI5351 with tube type Motorola P33
First Its been 55 years since I used to service them. They are narrow band for RX and TX so wide excursion for the crysts were not allowed without retuning the whole radio.. Also Neither side of the

Re: Pushbuttons are not responding
Hello Wayne, maybe you made a connection from header pin 7 to pin 5 (the neighbor). Its like pressing the left encoder (Shut down). 73, Ludwig

Re: QMX Moves to Shutdown
Hello Gary, this is fine. I guess, there is a short (not a dangrous) around the connection between the main board and the controls board or on the controls board. To switch on the QMX regular you have

QMX whet quiet during transmission #20m #50w #qmx #troubleshoot #troubleshooting
Hi, I'm looking for tips to troubleshoot an issue with my QMX. Its a rev 1 board that I have build for high bands and it worked great for a while, I have logged 20 QSOs. To be more precise, I was fine

Re: New QLG2 Intermittent Odd Start-up Behavior
Well, a friend suggested that it might be a heat related issue. The QLG2 has been in my basement for a couple days, and that might explain why it came to life first thing this morning? So I tried a

Thank you both! I will try both ideas and see where it gets me. I will be away for a few days but will post results as soon as I give them a shot.

Re: VAT and postal service charge
I believe, in Germany, Zoll is the catchall category for VAT and import duty (and excise duty, if applicable), since it's collected by Zoll at time of import (if it hasn't already been prepaid). There

Re: Progrock/SI5351 with tube type Motorola P33
Hi Tyler, I'd use 10-20pF to couple the Si5351A's signal in at pin 4.? You'll probably have to disconnect some of the other components and change the bias at pin 2.? See the other circuits in this

Re: New QLG2 Intermittent Odd Start-up Behavior
I¡¯ve seen this a couple of times as well which is probably due to insufficient quality of the powerup reset. Make sure you apply power quickly to the QLG2 (e.g. using a toggle switch) or fast

New QLG2 Intermittent Odd Start-up Behavior
I "built" a new QLG2 kit to use with my QMX, and the unit is acting strangely. On power-up (either 5vdc direct to the board or via USB), all three GPS LEDs will come on solid and stay on. Every once
