QMX kind of deaf?
Well, after doing a factory reset the graphs looked ok (except the RF filter plot for 20m showed it at -34dB at 14 MHz) so I decided to try my QMX on the air again.? In CW mode the 20m band was

Re: Calibrating QCX MINI
Alan, I should have added some zeros. :) Also, I have the TCXO on mine now too, so I was trying to remember what I did before that.

Re: Revision 2 board mods
Hello Karl,
The purpose of the diode mod is solely to protect the IC402 (MUX chip) from some unwanted parasitic ringing which may occur on some bands while transmitting (QMX in TX mode). While in RX

Re: Revision 2 board mods
Karl,
I am aware of two "diode mods" for QRP Labs transceivers.
The first is a fix for potential overvoltage at the drains of the PA
transistors of QDX. It involves placing a commutating diode

Revision 2 board mods
On a roll with getting T507 actually connected to the radio, getting fw .017 loaded into radio and all by myself getting into PuttY repeatedly and seeing positive results!
Then I see here someone

Re: Calibrating QCX MINI
Dan,
With the current QRPLabs TCXO we think in terms of a few Hz. So the old crystals somewhere around 4000Hz off nominal might be considered a long way off:-)

Re: QMX and FLDigi - MFSK modes
I forgot to mention that from firmware 007 onward it didn't work at all until I think it was 017 when it began working without TxID on so progress is being made. At least that is what I recall and see

Re: QMX Cheat Sheet
One immediate solution is you can put the PDF of the manual on your smart phone or iPad.
The beauty of the PDF is you can search for whatever you need to address.
I hope this is helpful until a cheat

Re: QMX and FLDigi - MFSK modes
Thanks for the reply!? I thought I had TXID off, but I must have left it on, I will try again tonight.
Glad to hear I can still use the most popular digital modes!

Re: Sorting out QMX issue on 20/17m
It turns out that a factory reset fixed the plots.? I'm still not happy with the RF filter (-34db at 14 MHz) but I think it's ready to go!

SOLVED Re: QMX NOT APPEARING AS A USB FLASH DEVICE ANYMORE
SOLVED - I doubled checked the SMPS supplies on the power board and found 1 pin on each one that did not have enough solder and was not making full contact.

Re: QMX hardware tests gives garbage

On my QMX, I observed that the "garbage graphs" happened if I tried to step through the bands too rapidly, i.e., if I was on 20m and stepped up to 10m slowly, one graph at a time, all was well, but if

Re: Calibrating QCX MINI
It's normally not much. I think I set mine to 27.004? or something like that. You can use a known signal source to zero beat. I use WWV when it's in range, but you can also get a good idea by seeing

I've had similar situations. Sometimes reasonable results, sometimes garbage.
Playing a little bit around with diagnostics and / or off - on the QMX I've got reasonable results again, without

Re: QMX High Bands - Weird TX Power
Hi all,
I ended up with 2.9W on 10m using a bridge between 2 turns of the L510 toroid. The rest of the bands keep the same power output.
What intrigues me (and worries a bit) is the overpower on
