Hello, today I switched on my QMX again, after I had to recharge LiPol battery (3S). It seems RX part is dead again, RF filter sweep shows garbage (random values between -60 and -100 dB). When I

I've complete QMX build on rev 1 PCB. Loaded firmware 014 and worked 20 connections on FT8 this morning, all good.
Went to testing PTT but cannot get QMX to change PTT level, its constantly at 5v on

Re: QMX Not Responding
Ray,
You don't mention if it's a Rev1 or Rev 2 QMX and you don't mention the computer and its USB port. If it's a USB C port on the computer and a Rev1, the computer might not recognize the

Re: Recommended Mods for QCX Rev 2
Thank you for your input, it sounds like heat sinking of the transistors isn't needed so I'll skip that.
I did the CPU startup mod and the PA stability mod last night and the radio is still working

Re: QCX chip woes
So Rob,
I went in last night and verified that I am in fact hitting the Arduino Uno at *ttyUSB0* on the Pi and the Uno's lights blinked briefly and then it threw an error saying that the device ID

Re: QMX TN0110 Heat Sink
Nice job!
As a further improvement, I would drill a metric 3 threaded hole into the heatsink aligned with the screw hole in the PCB. The added screw will conduct heat from the PCB to the heatsink and

Hi Ludwig, the answers to the questions are as follows:
the problem is "hello RX current".
Diagnostika3.pdf was created during transfer. Why transfer? The transmission is OK, I ruled out a fault

Jim, the likely problem area is around T507. It's construction is on page 44 of the manual.? There are four connection points on each side of this

Re: Recommended Mods for QCX Rev 2
FWIW I've been running my classic into an EFHW for 5 years with no heatsink. Never blown a final and there was some pretty extensive WSPR activity early on.
Having said that, the antenna is well tuned
