Re: QMX Not Responding
Ray, You don't mention if it's a Rev1 or Rev 2 QMX and you don't mention the computer and its USB port. If it's a USB C port on the computer and a Rev1, the computer might not recognize the

Re: Recommended Mods for QCX Rev 2
Thank you for your input, it sounds like heat sinking of the transistors isn't needed so I'll skip that. I did the CPU startup mod and the PA stability mod last night and the radio is still working

Re: QCX chip woes
So Rob, I went in last night and verified that I am in fact hitting the Arduino Uno at *ttyUSB0* on the Pi and the Uno's lights blinked briefly and then it threw an error saying that the device ID

Re: QMX TN0110 Heat Sink
Nice job! As a further improvement, I would drill a metric 3 threaded hole into the heatsink aligned with the screw hole in the PCB. The added screw will conduct heat from the PCB to the heatsink and

Re: QMX 12V high RX current #qmx
Hi Ludwig, the answers to the questions are as follows: the problem is "hello RX current". Diagnostika3.pdf was created during transfer. Why transfer? The transmission is OK, I ruled out a fault

JZ, I'm sorry for causing you concern. I was only thinking of your troubleshooting ability, not considering the practicality of someone sending you a rig to fix. Mainly just to get a knowledgable

Cliff, It seems I should have been clearer and more direct in my reply to you! There are things that make it impractical for me to offer repair services to others. *I do not take in radios for

Re: QMX High Band - No RF
Jim, the likely problem area is around T507. It's construction is on page 44 of the manual.? There are four connection points on each side of this transformer, and with the heavy wire used, and

Re: Recommended Mods for QCX Rev 2
FWIW I've been running my classic into an EFHW for 5 years with no heatsink. Never blown a final and there was some pretty extensive WSPR activity early on. Having said that, the antenna is well tuned

I also save my brick, happy! Thanks Nooboy and Brian. I connect SDA to GND, power on, seeing the LED flashing, then disconnect SDA from GND. After reflash firmware, my brick come back to QDX. ^O^

Re: QMX Not Responding
Hi Ray, You don't mention it in your post. Did you turn the radio on by pressing the left hand encoder button? The radio doesn't visually respond to that, but the computer should then recognise it
