Re: #qmx PCB Rev 2 recommended modification #qmx
Hi John, Just got home and checked, they are BAT85S, so I suspect they're no good, since, at a quick glance, this model seem to have a reverse voltage of just 30V. Aaand 10pf of capacitance :-) Will

QMX repairs by W1NC
Just a short note to recognize Jeff Moore, W1NC, for his outstanding work in repairing QMX xcvrs. I made a mess of my T507 (SWR/PWR measuring circuit) and he cleaned it up, got it going properly and

Re: #qmx PCB Rev 2 recommended modification #qmx
Thanks for identifying the problem and correction. I have some 1N4148 through hole diodes - I've done some dry runs of the fix, and find that keeping the diode in place is an issue for me. Is there a

Re: SSTV
I believe that the SSTV tone changes too fast for the stock QDX to follow. You might be able to do it by modifying the parameters that control the process. Hans made them available in the terminal. I

Re: SSTV
When I asked this question at the qdx launch I was told no because sstv uses afsk And digital sstv requires big cpu processing. I am not sure however, maybe the QMX could do sstv. I believe it has a

Hi Klaus. Glad you are up and running again. It might be a good idea for anyone who has experienced the problem to indicate whether your QMX rev 2 is a low band or high band unit. May give a bit

Mine does that every now and then. A quick power-cycle fixes it. Another bug, I reckon. I haven't replicated it enough to report it. -- 72/73 de Steve, K9NUD https://youtube.com/@learnhamradio
