Re: Clock display lcd
The clock supports 4-line displays. See the operating manual. If it's an older kit you may need to upgrade to firmware C1.02a ... 73 .. .Ron [email protected]> wrote:

I am turning to you in hope to find a solution for my problems with the QMX. My friend Kees PA0CNR and I PE1GZD went to the hamvention in Friedrichshafen last summer and we both bought a QMX kit after

Clock display lcd
Hi-- I got a box of "stuff" at a ham swap meet and inside was a 4 x 20 lcd.? I have an unbuilt clock kit and I'm wondering if this will substitute for the 2 x 16 or the4 x 16 lcd for the clock? --

I'll have to take another look at this.

Re: QMX image rejection / rf sweep good enough?
The fact that you haven't already done it probably means you might want to leave them where they are and not worry about it. (Explaining what's going on is different from advisory for an action.)

Re: BARB's FDT86256
I looked at 5MHz transmission spectrum using a 32MHz LPF so that I can see up to 5th harmonic cleanly using a spectrum analyzer. It wasn't too bad, not a level where I worry about average-to-peak

Is it possible to do this update on Rev 1 board? I used a nylon nut for that screw to remove this risk, but was there a reason for metal screw? (I agree that change is a good idea.) When you have

Re: QMX Power Supplies
John, I think it may be the other way around, actually. The reference voltage for the 5,5V smps control loop is the 3.3V smps output. If the 3.3V output goes too high, the 5.5V smps will do so as

Randy, thank you so much for the info. I totally agree Donald. My husband taught me that valuable lesson when we married 33 wonderful years ago. Joy N6GO

I received two new power supply boards from QRP Labs yesterday, and QMX appears to be working. I initially had the Q103/104 problem, and never managed to successfully repair the boards. What I don't

The .QMX file. I made sure the file was unzipped before putting on the QMX.

Hi Brian, I assume you did not wire this which is an alternative HW option only: "4. Connect a wire jumper from Aux2 to Ground (see details below) to force firmware update mode." This jumper would

Are you copying the zip file (1_00_010.zip) or the actual firmware file inside it (1_10_010.QMX) ? You must unzip the file first and copy the 1_10_010.QMX file. -- 73 Andrew KI7FXL

I have copied in the firmware( 1.00_010 ), it shows up on the mass storage device along with the EEPROM file but it does nothing. I¡¯ve tried both a Mac and a Windows computer to load the firmware

Re: [OT] High Efficiency class E/D amplifier
Hi Timothy, I know that QEX design but it does not reach 28MHz. Even 14MHz is difficult to achieve with 80% eff.Regarding "wide band", I mean all HF amateur bands, not a real 1-30MHz continuous band.
