Thanks for the reply Dan. I wish that was it, but it's already set to 30.

Re: QMX Assembly Manual Pages in 1.00e vs 1.00f
Hi QMXers,
Special thanks to Jim W4JRG for annotating the changes in 1.00f.
My question: it seems there is some kind of jumper thingie associated with L401.? For those of us who have ventured

Re: QDX won't load firmware...?
Thanks for the clarification on that.
Also, for the record, there's no problem getting my QDX into bootloader mode, just by power cycling it.
I was asking if there was a way to do a hardware reset

Re: QMX Capacitor Swap Gives Lower Power.

I think I broke all records putting my QMX on putty to change the 5 back to 30, but for my machine (#133) 20m stayed at 3.5 watts. All others are a steady 5 watts. Sandy KB3EOF

Okay to Post Kits for Sale
Couldn't find any rules about the group, but is it okay to post QRPLabs

Re: QMX Capacitor Swap Gives Lower Power.

Cliff,
Check that the 'PIN' current in the settings is 30mA. My 20m setting was 5 and changing it to 30 upped the 20m power from 3.7 to 5.5 volts. (13 V input voltage)

Re: QDX won't load firmware...?
Colin,
That is for the QMX.? The message topic is for the QDX.? There is no hardware reset for the QDX other than through the terminal program.

Re: QDX won't load firmware...?
I looked but I'm not seeing that. A keyword search of the assembly manual for "reset" doesn't yield anything about a hardwire reset either.

The only reference to a Factory Reset I have found is that it's one of the Terminal Applications available when connecting to the QDX with a serial connection. But since it won't boot I can't do

QMX Capacitor Swap Gives Lower Power.
#qmx
I just did the capacitor swap with C516 and C525 and they are installed as in the new build manual. Both 20M and 30M have lost power. 20M lost about 1/2 or a little less watt and 30M lost a full watt

Re: QDX won't load firmware...?
Hello Leigh
Deleting a file does nothing. You can copy the file in and out, as the
manual suggests. If you copy in a new EEPROM, the contents of the file you
copy in will rewrite (replace) the entire

There is a hardwire reset. Look at the last page of the assembly manual.

Hi Hans, thanks for the comments. So the EEPROM "file" is an abstraction of sorts, OK.
In the manual it says "EEPROM contents: the QDX configuration and log file (if enabled). Again, you can read the

Re: QDX won't load firmware...?
Hi all
FYI there is no such thing as deleting either an EEPROM or firmware file
from a QDX, QLG2, U4B or a QMX. They aren't real USB flash drives. I wrote
a very compact bootloader to take as little
