Re: QDX Owners & Users... Limit your ! CURRENT !
Randy, Problem with that approach is heat. Putting the regulator on the PCB foes not allow for much heat diffusion to environment. But here's a solution for you. Look at msg #79293 where I explained

Re: Band Pass Filtering for ten bands using QRPLabs Receiver Module - Advice please #bpf #rcvr
Daimon, Fundamentally it is your choice. Do you want the best possible performance from your build or do you compromise? The RX will probably perform reasonably well with just an LPF as filter. That

Mark, Get your cataracts removed first¡. What a difference in vision, especially for building and color vision. And cheap readers will work for any range of work you need. Dave K8WPE David J.

Band Pass Filtering for ten bands using QRPLabs Receiver Module - Advice please #bpf #rcvr
Folks, I am building an all-band HF CW transceiver. I am using a self-modified code version of the Sudden VFO (GQRP Club), and a QRPLabs 10w PA and QRPLabs Receiver module with Polyphase kit. The rig

What is an "acceptable" upper limit for QDX SWR?
Hans, I've been wondering this for a while.?What would you consider "really badly mismatched" with respect to the QDX SWR? 3:1? 2:1? 1.5:1? I have a WSPRlite with, I assume, no VSWR protection. They

Hi Bojan There is a lot of interesting information and measurements on 1N4007 "PIN diodes" at Claudio IN3OTD's page: https://www.qsl.net/i/in3otd//electronics/PIN_diodes/PIN_diodes.html And

Re: Artwork for "Manual Days" Chinese Antenna Tuner
I did the same as W0ITT and realized a Z-match tuner with the chinese kit, too. I just added a couple of 250pF and 500pF extra capacitors and a three ways switch to switch them in when needed. It

Re: QDX Owners & Users... Limit your ! CURRENT !
p.s.? At the same time a 9 volt regulator could be implemented on the PCB for a desirable one board solution.? The qdx running at 9 volts would be much cooler overall. Hans anything you would be

TI and others make eFuse ICs which can trip in microseconds and whose trip current is set with a single resistor.? Some have under- and/or over-voltage inhibit and soft start capabilities.? I use

Re: What about 13.6 volts?
After killing 2 BS170s and Q7 on a 13.8V supply I am sticking with 12V until I feel like taking a risk. (Built for 12V, <1.3:1 SWR when the smoke came out.) Enjoy your new rig! 73, Scott N1AIA

50 W PA and a laptop PSU
Just a tip -- I had a PSU from a Dell laptop laying around. 19.5 V at 4.62 A max (90 W). I wired it to the 50 W PA and it seems to be working just fine. PA on 20 m draws around 3 A (60 W) and peak
