Re: QDX arrived in Norfolk, England
I received mine yesterday here in central Illinois. Rather small box. I thought well that's the size of the unit. I opened the box - HOLY COW! This thing is tiny. Cool! I finally will give FT8 & JS8 a

Re: Classic QCX C1 fully meshed
Hello David, When adding capacitance does not work, might indicate that the inductance is too high. Maybe removing turns is the way forward! 73, Roelof, pa0rdt

Hi Richard, Can you send your sketch file and photo of your setup to support@... ? Btw USB hubs sometimes cause interference with the GPS, can you change USB connection if it's connected via

Re: QDX next batch
I found the part where Eagle tells you how many drill holes there are. The PCB is 85.55 / 59.50mm and there are 1108 vias, 2 holes, and 116 pads, a total of 1226 drill holes. So just over 24 holes per

Hi Derek That is not very likely I'm afraid... I'm worried there may not even be enough to fulfil the first batch of orders. I placed stock in the shop but the kit took 24 orders MORE than it should

Re: strange issue with 20m classic; ideas invited
Ok. I was thinking a faulty BS170 could affect the output capacitance or induktance and give all sorts of frequency dependant problems. I would definately suspect them if the rig once had worked. If

Julian, No matter how much capacitance I added the stator plates were exposed about 5% (I am guessing) on either end. That was my two peaks. The caps were from a full set that Doug Hendricks of QRP

Re: QDX - how to best check the filter performance
You're right. I messed up the math when I did it in my head to write that post. Three to six watts IS the correct output of the QDX but the dBm conversion was wrong, oops! Six watts would be somewhere
