Nope, S-meter is not enabled - this literally starts as soon as it's powered on, even after a factory reset.

Did you enable the S meter? ?On my 20m QCX it makes a sort of clicking sound with the S meter enabled. ?Disabling the S meter completely removes that clicking sound. Curt M.

As Alison says, either The BS170s or source resistors are going to be burnt out. BEFORE replacing them find out why Q201 is not conducting to reduce the bias voltage. What is it's base and collector
