Re: I ordered a replacement QCX kit.
I agree with Curt M, and I measured each resistor before inserting, checking (like Santa) everything twice.? I really can not read the color code anymore.? Before starting, I organized all the parts

Re: TVI
Yeah...an SDR dongle and waterfall display image can say a lot. Particularly if your RX can goto 1 MHz. But all SDR dongles will cover the television broadcast spectrum.

Re: ULTIMATE 3S use as CW transmitter

Hi radio2015@.... The replies you have will work using v3.12a, but I found for CW if you need to alter the transmit frequency, you have to enter a new one via the menu which is not very convenient.

Re: Adjust audio phase shift on QSX 40
Hi Paul There are many possible reasons for no unwanted sideband cancelation. Not only T1. Each of the two paths I and Q is amplified and phase shifted by IC5, IC6 and IC7. If there is any soldering

Re: BS 170 Transitor Q1 in U3
On something that might fry like the BS170's, don't install them with the leads going through the holes in the board. Just tack each lead down to the pad with a glob of solder. Perhaps fold the end of

Re: BS 170 Transitor Q1 in U3
Ken, A suggestion. If you are going to work on it and add to it etc, when you pull the old 170s out you might want to install sockets for them. Makes swapping them out easier. Dont ask me how I know.
