Re: CLOCK Kit problem - incorrect LOC calculation #clock #qlg
Hi, I¡¯m pretty sure Hans is on holiday at the moment so you may have to wait a little. Regards, Steve G0XAR

Re: C1 Trimmer #parts #qcx
I just thought you might look through some of them to see if you could find what you needed, like eBay #152215440586, which might work. Jack, W8TEE

Re: QCX Frequency Calibration
Now that¡¯s a tip I can use! I tried it and found 3 spots on my 1st xmission; showed me +200hz or +300hz @7053, depending on the listening station report. Not sure what I can do about it¡ Tony

Re: C1 Trimmer #parts #qcx
Thanks, Paul, I think that is going to work. ? I looked on Mouser, and did not find this one, so many thanks! 73 -- Harv K2PI Warrenton, VA

Re: C1 Trimmer #parts #qcx
You are clearly masterful with Google, Jack, but I am looking for CYMI type 3 pin trimmers equal or similar to what Hans recommends. ?They comprise a sparse and surprisingly expensive percentage of

Re: QCX Frequency Calibration
Used the QRP Labs GPS module for calibration and per my Elecraft rcvr and RBN it is dead on.? I added a large sticker to the GPS board to remind me to always use a dummy load on radio.

Have you tried Mouser or Newark? I think I found one on Mouser by V ISHAY Mouser P/N 594-222280811339 Mfr. #: BFC28081133 Mfr.: Vishay / BC Components <https://www.mouser.com/bccomponents/>

Re: QCX Frequency Calibration
Erik the WSPR passband is narrow enough that it is easy to be out of it, and the PLL in the rig takes some time to calibrate even with the GPS attached.? Good idea to find your frequency in a CW

Re: C1 Trimmer #parts #qcx
I just Googled "30pF trimmer capacitor" and got over 10 million hits! Amazon seems to sell them, too. Jack, W8TEE

C1 Trimmer #parts #qcx
So, I need a C1 30pf trimmer, which I am missing from a current build due to cannibalizing for something else.? I thought these would be easy to find, but the CYMI types appear to be relatively

What about a CQ Call on the reverse beacon net.?http://reversebeacon.net/ They indicate your frequency. Martin

Re: WSPR X2 question
OK Chris. Sounds good. I can confirm that the X2 option on WSJT works very nicely with class D amplifiers I have tried it running in 'split' mode and it appears that it's just the bandwidth of the

Re: U3S OCXO Ultimate relay 5W HF PA corrupted display
Hi Stuart / Ken, A couple of considerations. If the PA is built with cosine shaping under the control of the U3, AN004 rather than the standalone variant. The U3 MCU may not like driving it's data

Re: U3S OCXO Ultimate relay 5W HF PA corrupted display
My guess it might have something to do with the data lines that are shared with the display. Perhaps when the voltage to the PA is cut off those lines go low and their state can't be changed by data

Re: U3S OCXO Ultimate relay 5W HF PA corrupted display
I have same kit built with relay board. Very happy with results. It will show corrupted screen like yours if I turn PA Amp off. I just don¡¯t try to turn it off anymore.

Hi Andy, I did see OZ8PZ¡¯s R5 modification on the QRP Labs website. ?I'm just curious why you decided to go with a 33K resistor instead of something closer to the parallel values of the original

Hello David, Thanks for the reply. I was trying to get my head around this but have worked it out via experimentation :) I wanted to use my TS-590 via the low power output from it's DRIVE socket.
