Re: U3 new batch
Al, Details will be in the manual as they call out all parts. However, you will find that all of Hans' kits use standard 0.10" pin headers (2.54mm). cheers, Graham ve3gtc

Dave, As an aside:? I've just joined this group for one? purpose at this time and that is to find out the spacing on all of the pin headers used so I can off-board mount my controls and I/O

Re: Display flashing U3S
Hi Alan, thank you again for your very good ideas. I will try it step by step to ?determine the problem. I have a newer IC1 here on my worktable and also another complete main-pcb (to be soldered;)).

Alan, Interesting. As far as I know you are the first to actually inform us of the sequence of this often reported failure. In my ignorance I'd thought it current. But what actually happens then is

Hi Andy, Any kind of current limiting device cannot stop PA failure because it happens through the stored energy in the decoupling and series inductor ending up exceeding the ratings of the output

If you need a fuse to act as fast as a transistor, why not use a transistor as a fuse ? http://electronics-diy.com/electronic_fuse.php 73 de Andy G0FTD

Re: Re-orientation of CD74ACT00E
Hello Karl, It isn't that hard to desolder an IC correctly. I normally use a desoldering-pump to suck up the solder each leg per leg. When the solder is gone, take some tweezers made of stainless

Be careful with a polyswitch solution. They trip at a much higher current than I expected. I got some for my uBitxd. Since it can draw almost 2 amps I selected a 3 amp, 16 V model. When I got them I

Potentiometer and a diode, run a signal not a voltage through. Observe shape on scope and keep pot to 80% max.
