Re: Exciting news re GPS...
I can see it now... Ultimate 3 including a real time clock like this one... Tell the new U3 your 10 character grid and watch it keep the transmitter on

Re: Exciting news re GPS...
That's great news Hans. I solved the problem with my Up501 gps by adding ferrite beads on every lead connected to the gps. It would seem that gps modules do not like being close to rf fields. It

Re: Exciting news re GPS...
Yey, that will be fun.I shall mug every passing Postman for the next few days.:-) Indeed that would be excellent progress, I do hope that widespread compatibility is achieved. 73 Eddie G3ZJO

Re: Exciting news re GPS...
Sounds very good to me. Will this still be happy with the Adafruit unit and the 100mS pulse width? 73 Keith.

Exciting news re GPS...
All As some of you know, I have what I call a "GPS Simulator" which is an ATmega88 I programmed to send a NMEA string with the $GPRMC sentence, and it also has a realtime clock which updates

2.02k installed and working very well
Today I took delivery of 2.02k and some extra LPF boards. Along with my Adafruit GPS, it's working very well. I've been running WSPR and FSKCW on 30m within the same ten minute frame for a few

2.02a and 2.02k chips arrived this morning
Adafruit GPS module working perfectly with the new firmware. My Trimble GPS which worked with ver 2.01 doesn't work with 2.02a but I half expected that as it's noted on Hans web site.. Love the

Re: Note about ordering...
The updated software [and additional LP filters] arrived this afternoon. Clearly and competently packed, as before. Busy tonight, but I will try a couple of GPS modules tomorrow. I have high hopes

v2.02a not quite doing what it should with gps up501
Hi all, I seem to be having some trouble with the new chip. The kit locks onto the satellites no problem and calibrates and sets the time fine but after a transmission period the time is wrong which

Re: v2.02k - Twice the fun, WSPR and QRSS together! (and new feature request)
Yes Hans, that is basically it. Just like you do now for WSPR with the 4 digit locator but with the option to specify between 4 & 10 digits (depending on the accuracy/transmission time you want). I

Re: v2.02k - Twice the fun, WSPR and QRSS together! (and new feature request)
Tony I never said I could do that for him. I just wanted to make sure I understood the question, first ;-) It sounded like rather a tall order. Do you know how long it took my feeble brain to work

Re: v2.02k - Twice the fun, WSPR and QRSS together! (and new feature request)
Well, if you can do that for him, I want one that will turn the kit into a time travel device so that I can visit my ancestors and show them why they shouldn't have had any children BZB

Re: v2.02k - Twice the fun, WSPR and QRSS together! (and new feature request)
Hi Colin You are saying an automatic locator, which gets the latitude and longitude from a GPS module, converts them into all those digits, and appends it with an accuracy specified by you? 73 Hans

Re: v2.02k - Twice the fun, WSPR and QRSS together! (and new feature request)
Hans, My v2.02k arrived this morning and is now up & running under test and seems to be working just fine. I was wondering if it would be possible to append an automatic QRA function to the QRSS

WSPR Problem Using V2.02a

Re: A note re shipping...
Thanks Hans, I don't have to wait any longer, my v2.02k chip and a couple of LPF filters arrived this morning (26th Jun 3013). Fitted the chip, put in some setting & fired it up & have already heard

Re: U2 on 20m kills 30m.
That's quite a typical response for a receiver when it has a strong local signal overwhelming its front end and producing intermodulation products. Even though the UQ is qrp or even qqrp, when it is

U2 on 20m kills 30m.
OK, here's a good one. I'm running my QRSS grabber on 30m right now and sitting on top of the TS-590 is my U2 kit transmitting WSPR on 20m. When it's transmitting, I totally lose everything on 30m
