VDD to GND Measures 2.6 ohm :(Ivica, there are several reports in the forum about the same situation. Often the controller was the broken part. Hard to replace and you would need a flashed controller from QRP Labs. You may remove parts from VDD rail one by one until the fault is gone or check the VDD rail using a good ohm meter with milli ohm resolution.

Re: iFTX
It worked perfectly, I just had to reset the cell phone to take the hardware changes. In QMX it activates the ptt but in the Xiegu x6100 it doesn't because it doesn't have vox!! 73 Luis? El El mié, 25 sept 2024 a la(s) 15:26, Luis Rogelio Galina via <lu4hk=[email protected]> escribió:

Hi Nothing will happen till the firmware is flashed. Power up and connect USB cable. You will hear the Windows sound of USB connection.? Look for the QMX as a flash drive. Then drag the unzipped FW to this drive and it will spring to life. Check the display contrast setting. On Thu, 26 Sept 2024, 06:30 Ivica - YU1QRP via , <yu1qrp=[email protected]> wrote:

Re: iFTX
Today I received the iPhone to camera adapter but the connection with the QMX has not worked. It is as if the application does not recognize the USB port, enable vox but since there is no connection to the phone there is no activity. If you listen to the ft8 through the iPhone microphone, I tested it with a USB audio card and the camera adapter and it works fine. I don't know if there is something I'm doing wrong? greetings Luis El El sáb, 21 sept 2024 a la(s) 14:00, Luis Rogelio Galina via <lu4hk=[email protected]> escribió:

9V build but for the 12V built QMX the startup current is something like 170mA Good to know that amps data, i started around 150mA and i did move it to 200mA when i started to get pis#!$@ off.

9? vs 12 makes difference for power amp, lucky me i did not get that far Hi |

VCC to GND Measure over 10k
Yes Rev.1 (V1 titled different hi) Measureing done on bare mainboard (no front panel, SMPS etc) Since i there is no clear instructions when to install QLG module i left that one out for now and tryed the first run without it. ? |
Pwr output dramaticly decrease with higher Freq. from 6 W to 0W, for 160 to 20Mc
I had to replace the BS170. one oft them was defective.
After replacing all 4 BS170 The output Pwr is dramatic decreasing with frequency.? 6W at 160, 2W at 80, 60, 04W at 40, 0.3W at 30 and then 0W on all higher bands. I made a Factory reset and Firmware update. Till now can't find the failure?

Re: Production seems to have slowed significantly
Like any small production line, it can be influenced by local holidays, people getting sick or their families becoming ill, schools/colleges starting the winter semester and other things. Give it a week or so for things to sort themselves out.

Production seems to have slowed significantly
Between August and Sept I moved up about 200 spots, and this month I'm currently trending to be closer to ~100 for the same period. At first it looked like I was going to get it by Halloween, now it's inching closer to mid December(Way too cold to go out and POTA in Canada). Why such a slow down? |
QMX+ PA Voltage marginally low
Hello,
I have built up my QMX plus purchased at the Telford rally and have a question to check.
Using a PuTTY terminal to access Hardware tests, Diagnostics, under transmitter; the Voltage (on the PA) is borderline low. This is consistent across all bands.
The build is for a nominal 12V operation.?
Example for 40m operating into a dummy load. The PA voltage reads jumps between 9.7 Red and 9.8 Green, while the input voltage is read as 11.6V or 11.7V. Should I be concerned about this or is about 2V drop over the modulator considered acceptable.
Best regards Trevor G6PSZ

I also changed the lPF configuration for 60m it looks like. I seem to have good results but would like someone else to take a look and verify if there will be any problems with the way I have the filters set up.? |
