Re: QMX keyer behavior
Iambic does matter even if your not squeezing. In A if you try and send a dit before the dah has finished it will not do so. This is still possible to do even when not squeezing, particularly at 25wpm

QMX keyer behavior
I send pretty good code (up to about 30 wpm) with my other keyers: * K1EL v3 (in microHAM DXP) * HamGadgets MasterKeyer MK-1 * Elecraft KX3 internal keyer Not so good on the QMX internal keyer --

Re: QMX Carry Case
Here is mine for QCX mini. I have the same box for QMX, but contains EFHW antenna because QMX does not require external SWR/PWR meter and uses smaller battery.

Re: QMX Carry Case
But I agree with Don.? I'm actually going to order the case you have now to make for a little bit extra room so I don't HAVE to cram everything in. Robb K5RAB

Re: QMX-to-QMX demo with dummy loads
I've operated 3 radios into dummy loads at our club station for training and practice with quite good success. I make the dummy loads slightly "leaky" by passing a piece of #16 insulated wire over

Re: QMX-to-QMX demo with dummy loads
Attach an 18 inch clip lead to the hot side of each dummy load.? I would also use a 10 dB attenuator.? ?That will take your output down to half a Watt.? Try all of this at home first.

QMX-to-QMX demo with dummy loads
I was thinking of bringing my 2 QMX transceivers to our local QRP club meeting tomorrow evening for show and tell and operating them into dummy loads. One dummy load is a QRP-Labs dummy load and the

I think I have to take issue with your comment about the creator Wayne! I believe the creator fully intended solder fumes to motivate and inspire… hams in particular… in any environment. I have

Re: My QMX+ has a .3 ohm short on VDD
Dear Greg, I didn't believe it but the GPS module did short out the Vdd bus.? I put a piece of tape over the jumper and now that doesn't happen.?? Hoping I was now past that problem I turned it on
