Re: mute QDX - update
Nich,
Clock 2 is not relevant on TX.
I note the scope, Hantek. USB?
What is the output frequency at the antenna? Best check with a counter or RX.

Re: QDX gone single band...
Hi Dan,
Thanks for your reply - if you mean in the Band configuration menu, then only 1 column of band settings was showing rather than the expected 6.
I say ¡°was showing¡± because the unit is

Re: mute QDX - update
Morning Hans,
Indeed I don't know how it is possible but - evidence attached.
Rx_clocks is Clk0 & Clk1 at rest Rx-ing in the 40M band - correct frequency and phasing.
Tx_clocks are the same signals

Re: Fault during transmitting
I measured again with the oscilloscope. A lso at CLK 2 directly at the IC 204 the frequency is about double the set frequency. I s there any other explanation than a defect in the IC204?

Re: QMX update
Hi Paul,
The idea is to use either a resistive bridge sensor ahead of the tuner like in this one from 4SQRP:
http://www.4sqrp.com/kits/4stuner/4stuner_schematic.jpg
That limits the worst-case SWR

too bad I missed you Chris. I was calling cq on 20 and had also quite some RBN reports. Are you on the discord site ?https://discord.com/channels/825115505563402261/832569698213953586

Re: QMX update
I've been using a tuner for years without problems, the bs170's are more robust than you indicated, how on earth can you tune a manual tuner faster than an auto tune which takes a few

Re: QDX chips are powered from???
Hi Alan
The ADC analog section runs on 5V. It has a +/- 2.5V differential analog
input (0-5V with a +2.5V DC bias). The reason I powered the LM4562 from 5V
was because I was scared that if anything

And also the voltage swing is not required driving into the 3.3 volt ADC.

Re: QDX chips are powered from???
Thanks for clarifying that, Hans. Yes, it makes sense to power those small signal audio amplifiers from the 5V rail - nicely regulated by a linear regulator instead of from the potentially

Re: Kudos to Jeff W1NC
Hi Giuseppe,
There is no sure way other than to try to isolate the problem.? If it is the MPU, the only choice is a new kit (you can save the cost of a new enclosure).? I did this by removing all

Re: PuTTY transmitter measurements
Hi Joe,
You can measure the power output 2 ways:
1 - With a QRP SWR/Power meter like this one:
https://qrpguys.com/qrpguys-power-swr-dummy-load
2 - By measuring the voltage on a dummy load like this

Hello Graham
There is no wait for QDX kits. I had just forgotten to remove the message
on the shop page. I've removed it now. All QDX kits are shipping normally
within 1 business day. Assembled

Hello Nick
Where and how are you measuring this?
Not right! Hardly even possible :-/ I'd suggest a factory reset but
you've already done that. So how are you measuring Clk2 and ARE YOU SURE

If I may make a suggestion, try a N7VE SWR bridge. the design provides at
least a measure of safety for the finals, then when your Antenna tuner is

Re: QDX chips are powered from???
Hi Peter
IC7 and IC9 are the two unidentified chip supplies on the VCC (+5V) rail.
Apologies for the confusion, the PCB CAD library for these op-amps doesn't
seem to label the IC at the power

Re: PuTTY transmitter measurements
BE SURE you have a dummy load or an antenna connected. Then use ever QRP watt meter you have. My dummy load has a SWR meter built in.
